About the museum
A home for the history of Kielce
The Museum of the History of Kielce collects, preserves and presents objects, documents and stories connected with the city and its residents. It is housed in a historic 19th-century building in the centre of Kielce.
The beginnings of organised museum activity in Kielce.
The building at 4 Świętego Leonarda Street becomes a museum.

The museum is located in the centre of Kielce, within walking distance of the Market Square and the main railway and bus stations.

Essential visitor guidelines
- Ticket sales and admission end 30 minutes before the Museum closes.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Coats, luggage, backpacks and umbrellas must be left in the cloakroom.
- Please do not touch the exhibits or enter areas closed to visitors.
- Food, drinks and animals are not permitted in the exhibition rooms. Assistance dogs are admitted in accordance with applicable law.
- Photography and filming for personal use are free, without flash or a tripod.
- Please do not make phone calls while visiting the exhibitions.
- Organised groups of 10–30 people should book in advance and visit with a guide.
