Abstrakt

Tadeusz Banaszek (Kielce) Production in Kielce military industrial plants during the interwar period Industrial plants located in Kielce province during the interwar period (1918 -1939) played an important role in the production for the army. The leading cities of defense industry were: Radom, Skarżysko-Kamienna, Starachowice, Pionki and Ostrowiec. Also in the capital of the province, Kielce, there were plants producing for the army such as: munitions factory „Granat”, Ludwików Steelworks Inc, Wawrzyniak Czesław – Spark Plug and Magneto Factory, State Gunpowder Company - Sulfuric acid and Oleum Factory, and several small industrial plants. Kielce industrial plants produced: ignition modules for grenades, helmets, sabres, grenade shells, oleum and sulfuric acid, field kitchens. With orders from the army the employment grew in Kielce, which was an important economic factor.
