Abstrakt
Iwona Pogorzelska (The State Archive in Kielce) Sources for history of the January Uprising in resource of the State Archive in Kielce This article is presenting a selection of the saved in the collections of the State Archive in Kielce the most important and at the same time most interesting archives of this great uprising which the 150th celebrated anniversary in the current year of 2013 is of special importance for Świętokrzyskie land. In this paper, we find information about documents resembling moments just before 22 January 1863 such as the texts of religious and patriotic songs: “Building the Mound on Karczówka 15 August 1861”, manifestos - such as: „The Brothers Compatriots” notifying about the contemplative service which was supposed to be held on 2 September 1861 ‘the Lithuanians brothers murdered by Muscovy in Vilnius 18 August’ orders associated with repressions of Russian authorities against the Polish people. Here are also discussed archives of events directly related to war and conditions of the everyday lives of Kielce residents: appeal of general Marian Langiewicz from 10 March 1863 announcing taking the command of the armed bands, Report of the municipality of the city of Kielce on residents who ‘expelled themselves without the knowledge of local Police’, Report on the connection to branches Jeziorańskiego and Langiewicza, and the battle of Małogoszcz, a list of heavily wounded persons during the battle of Jeziorko and Sieradowice. The author here is also presenting archive records providing a role of the January Uprising has played in next generations’ life: the poster for the celebration of 75 th anniversary celebration of the January Uprising - among others about the march on Karczówka ‘where in front of the monument to insurgents killed in action paying homage to the memory of fighters from 1863 will take place’ inviting for the participation in the Central 100 Anniversary Rally the January Uprising Routes and XI Hike which took place in 1963 and projects of monuments devoted to heroes of 1863, put in their honour in the nineties of the previous century.
