Pismo Komendy Wojewódzkiej Milicji Obywatelskiej w Kielcach na temat oporu społecznego i działalności opozycji politycznej w województwie kieleckim w I półroczu 1982 r.
Abstrakt
After the introduction of marshal law, apart from a three-day strike in M. Nowotko Steelworks in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski (December 13th – 15th, 1981), there workers’ protests were scarce. In the second half of December, there were no strikes and streets manifestations at all in the Kielce province. However, other forms of protest started to appear, initiated by numerous groups which, after the pacification of Solidarity, operated in different places frequently independently. In spring 1982 in Kielce, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Skarżysko-Kamienna and Starachowice, among other places, the number of underground structures increased. There were many leaflets and fliers published. Until the end of May 1982, 529 “incidents of illegal distribution” in the Kielce province were reported. On the basis of Solidarity of the Świętokrzyskie Region, regional and local underground structures were established, which issued various statements and underground newsletters. However, despite the call for protest on May 13, 1982 in nine plants in the Kielce province, only 250 people participated in the strike. This and many other issues are dealt with in the presented document from June 9, 1982 prepared by 5th Division of State Militia in Kielce.
